About Token Exchange
Token Exchange is an independent editorial publication covering the economics of the agent-powered economy. We write for the people who have to make decisions about AI spend, architecture, and adoption, and who need something more precise than vendor marketing.
What we cover
Our reporting concentrates on the places where AI stops being a demo and starts being a line item. That means token economics and unit cost, the infrastructure choices that generate those costs, and the governance questions enterprises run into once agentic systems reach production.
Every piece is built around a specific claim and the evidence for it. We cite the primary source wherever a number appears, and we prefer a narrow argument that holds to a broad one that does not.
- Analysis: token economics, unit cost, FinOps practice, and the accounting questions behind AI spend.
- Infrastructure: model routing, orchestration cost, context strategy, caching, and the architecture decisions that set unit economics.
- Enterprise: adoption patterns, governance, procurement, and what actually happens when agentic workloads meet an operating budget.
Editorial approach
We are an independent publication. We are not a vendor, a reseller, or an analyst firm operating a paid placement model, and we do not accept payment for coverage or for favourable treatment of a product.
Where an article draws on a public report, filing, or vendor disclosure, that source is named in the text so a reader, or an agent, can verify the claim without trusting us. When we describe a pattern observed in practice rather than a published figure, we say so explicitly and avoid attaching false precision to it.
